Appointments

How to make an appointment

You can make an appointment either booking online via the link at the top of this page (you will be required to register for an online account to book online appointments), or by calling the surgery on 020 8530 3731.

You can also Consult online with your GP using NHS App and order repeat prescriptions. Please find out more from https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/nhs-services/the-nhs-app/

You will receive a text confirmation for your appointment via your mobile, if you have signed up for text messaging service and the Surgery holds an up to date mobile number.

On booking you may be asked a few details to help the doctor or nurse deal with the problem efficiently. Please do not be offended by this, as all details are kept in strictest confidence and reception staff are trained accordingly.

How to cancel an appointment

You can cancel an appointment either online (if you have an online access), or by calling the Surgery on 0208 530 3731.

You can also cancel your appointment via text if you have received a text reminder for your appointment via your mobile.

Non-attendance

Approximately 146 appointments per month are not attended by patients without notifying the Surgery. The effect of this is:

• An increase in the waiting time for appointments
• A waste of resources
• A potential risk to the health of the patient

The Surgery takes non-attendance seriously. You will receive a letter when you did not attend an appointment and after the third non-attendance you may be removed from the Surgery's patients list size.

Who you will see

You are free to make an appointment with any of the doctors, as you are registered with the Surgery, not an individual doctor.

Running late

If you are running late for the appointment, please telephone the Surgery on 0208 530 3731 to let us know. Please note that we allow a maximum of 10 minutes for a patient to be late.

We will try to see patients at their appointed time but some patients’ problems will take longer than the allocated time; so please be patient if there is some delay.

Please note:
• Appointments are for one person only
• All patients under 16 should be accompanied by an adult
• Emergency appointments should not be used for social convenience or non-urgent problems
• Please arrive on time for your appointment; late arrival may require a new appointment being booked at a later date
• Non-attendance for appointments is a persistent problem and increases the wait to see the doctor. If you no longer require your appointment please cancel in good time as this will allow someone else to see a doctor that day

Emergencies

If you have a need to see a doctor and cannot wait for a book-in-advance appointment, please call the surgery for a urgent appointment on the day

Telephone Advice

The Surgery offers telephone consultations only for on-going concerns. Please enquire via reception who will ask you some questions regarding the reason for a telephone consultation. The receptionist will advise you on the most appropriate route in dealing with your concern.
